Get Smart Learning provides professional tutoring for children K-6. Our tutors are trained, qualified and experienced and come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We take great care in selecting our tutors and Lessons that are missed without 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited. Students will be allowed make-up lessons provided Get Smart is notified of cancellation at least 24 hours before their scheduled class. We will help you find an alternative time that is suitable for you and your tutor. d then matching your child with a tutor.

Each of our tutors has a valid Working with Children Check.  

We provide in home one-on-one tutoring or online, via Zoom. We also have our Small Group Classes at our Maroubra premises. During the school term weekdays from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Special School Holiday Workshops are available during the holidays and are highly recommended. Parents are always telling us how much their child enjoyed the Holiday Workshops.

We will work in with you and your child to find convenient times for your child’s tutoring. At Get Smart Learning we will always try to be flexible and accommodate the needs of our families. If you have any questions concerning this form, please just ask!

Payments

All Get Smart, classes and tutoring are to be paid in full, in advance. All changes to tutoring times must be made at least 24 hours before the appointed time. An invoice will be issued and must be paid prior to the tutoring session or sessions. We appreciate full payment for the term prior to the first appointment. We cannot provide a credit for tutoring or classes where the child is absent or not available. Lessons that are missed without 24 hours’ notice will be forfeited. Students will be allowed make-up lessons, so long as more than 24 hours’ notice is provided to Get Smart Learning before the scheduled class. We will help you find an alternative time that is suitable for you and your tutor. A ‘make-up’ class must be taken in the same school term.

 If your child begins classes during the term, we will calculate an agreed amount on a pro-rata basis for the balance of that term.

School Readiness Classes that are missed without 24 hours’ notice will also be forfeited. Since School Readiness Classes run on set weekly schedules, they can only be made up in the same week if the same class is running. Missed lessons will be forfeited, however we will send the lesson materials to you where available.

Finally if anything above is unclear please ask, as it’s better to have a clear understanding, in advance, so that we can ensure that your child can continue to enjoy and grow from their tutoring without interruption.
