Our tutors have been selected not only because of their qualifications and experience but possibly more importantly because they share our mission to provide a safe caring and understanding environment for each of the children they tutor.
Yes, we all want better results and for them to become independent, empowered young adults. Sometimes we need to look at assisting in the reasons why our children are not succeeding all on their own. At Get Smart Learning matching our students with the right tutor is so very important. We consider each of the elements of student/tutor compatibility including, ethnicity, hobbies and common interests. Obviously the tutor’s academic and teaching experience are also important elements of compatibility. At the end of the day we all want your child to end up with a tutor relationship, which is a trusted relationship, coupled with strong social rapport.

Our tutors attend the lessons with the intent of encouraging their students to think for themselves, and to increase their confidence during their assessments. During your first lesson, the tutor will aim to get to know your child, to understand their personality, their learning style, and their interests and aspirations. They will then tailor their lessons according to your child’s profile and your requirements. If you are unsure about what your requirements are, then make sure you advise the tutor and they will aim to work this out for you.

You Will Love Our Tutors
First Tutoring Session
We will discuss with you your child’s current situation and what you feel your child needs. If we all agree that tutoring is the best solution we would then discuss which tutoring package might be best for your child. We would then suggest who we feel would be the most appropriate tutor and conform a date and time for we will book in our first session. The first session will give both you and your child a chance to meet the tutor and get to know them. It will also be an opportunity for the tutor to learn the key areas that they will need to concentrate on to achieve the best possible results.
Catered to Your Child
Customised Tutoring Program
After the first session your tutor will create a detailed customised program for your child based on their discussions with you, and what they believe is the best way forward to achieve the desired outcomes for your child. The tutor will email this program to you and ask for any feedback or questions you might have.
